Research Centers That Advance Healthcare Innovation

At Rosalind Franklin University (鶹Ӱ), some of the world’s best scientists are taking on some of the most challenging areas of health care.

In addition to these centers and institutes, we operate various specialized medical research facilities and laboratories, including x-ray crystallography, mass spectroscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy, electron microscopy, confocal microscopy, live cell imaging and fluorescence-activated cell sorter (FACS) scans.

Connecting Innovation to Industry

The discoveries that 鶹Ӱ researchers achieve in our labs is only the start. We also facilitate collaboration with industry partners who can convert that research into vital therapeutics and diagnostics that improve and save the lives of patients.

One important way we do that is through our Innovation and Research Park. One-third of the facility’s 100,000 square feet of space is available to healthcare and pharmaceutical companies, which includes both established corporations and small startups. This includes “collision spaces” on each floor that are dedicated to fostering conversation and collaboration between researchers and industry representatives.

The Innovation and Research Park also houses the Helix 51 Incubator, an environment that was created to drive growth and build new connections for start-up companies in the health sciences space.

For 鶹Ӱ, this is about more than innovation for its own sake. It’s part of our commitment to equitable access to health treatments and well-being for everyone. Through evidence-based interventions and advancements, we can help lead the charge in eliminating disparities in healthcare.
