An Active, Diverse Campus Community
In this section
At Rosalind Franklin University (Â鶹ӰÒô), campus life is organized around helping you thrive. We believe a strong, close-knit community and a variety of activities outside of the classroom are critical for our students’ well-being and success.
At Â鶹ӰÒô, we want our students to do more than learn. We want them to have as many opportunities as possible to maintain good physical and mental health, celebrate the diversity of our student body, lead and collaborate, make personal and professional connections, and enjoy many more benefits of participating in a campus community. See how you can make your mark and expand your horizons at Â鶹ӰÒô.
Gain Leadership Experience
With 80-plus student organizations and more than 1,000 each year, you’ll have multiple opportunities to serve in leadership roles and get practical experience that can prepare you for your career. Don’t see anything that fits your unique interests? Start your own organization. For example, the Â鶹ӰÒô Interprofessional Community Clinic (ICC) was founded in 2013 by four Chicago Medical School students.
Fulfill Your Passion for Service
We want students who are passionate about using their time and skills to help others. You can get additional hands-on experience through more than 20 community service organizations, from the ICC to the Influence Student Potential and Increase Representation in Education (INSPIRE) mentorship program for local high schoolers.
Embrace Diversity
Broaden your perspective at Â鶹ӰÒô. Experience diversity here through student-run events like our Diwali celebration, which is run by SAMA (South Asian Medical Association) and brings in hundreds of participants annually. You also can join a student organization like the Black Interprofessional Student Alliance or Latino Medical Student Association — or simply spend time on campus interacting with our diverse students, faculty and staff.
Recharge and Connect
Need a break from the rigors of academic life? Head down to our free fitness center or take a yoga or Zumba class. Join one of Â鶹ӰÒô’s many intramural sports teams for some competitive fun. If you’re looking for mindfulness, you can take advantage of on-campus relaxation spaces and programs like dog therapy days.
