The Scholl Gallery on 鶹Ӱ’s campus featured “Let’s Talk 鶹Ӱ It: The Art, The Artists and The Racial Justice Movement on Madison’s State Street” in January and February.
Following the murder of George Floyd, the city of Madison, Wisconsin, and the Madison Arts Commission recruited artists to create unique responses to the “historic moments and movements” that were witnessed in the community. Examples of the resulting 100-plus powerful works of art, originally painted in 2020 as large-scale murals on boarded windows throughout the city’s downtown, were displayed as photographic prints in the Scholl Gallery exhibit.
